If God has blessed you …
If God has blessed you with a desire to serve Him with your personal gifts, talents and time, there is always an opportunity available for you at Liberty Community Church!
One great culture in the Liberty is the street evangelism that takes place regularly each week. Though the idea of approaching strangers on the street is daunting for many, through encouraging and supporting one another, many of Liberty members meet up regularly to take to the streets of Philadelphia and invite others to church. Many members of the church body were reached through this method and are a living testimony of the street evangelism of Liberty. If you would like to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ locally together with us, we welcome you to join our outreach that takes place throughout the week. Please do not hesitate to ask for precise details from any of our members or pastors.
Prayer is a vital part of Liberty. Our prayer ministry goes beyond Sunday mornings as we also have small prayer teams that meet throughout the week. We hold regular prayer meetings, and hold monthly prayer nights to pray together. For us praying is not an option; it is a commission. As we give prayer to God and pray for each other, we wish to be connected well with God and with other members. We welcome any submissions from you on your experiences of answered prayers.
Throughout our lives, many of us face difficult circumstances, inner conflict, and emotional pain. These can be barriers to fulfilling relationships. Liberty looks to provide a safe and confidential setting to enable people to heal emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. Counseling services are provided to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Some of our primary areas of focus are parenting, marital communication, conflict resolution, anxiety and depression, stress and anger management, and handling life’s transitions.
As a church family, one of the greatest privileges we have is to visit with and pray for those in the hospital or those who are ill. They provide encouragement, a listening ear, and prayer. If you, a family member, or someone you know would like to receive strength, let us know so that we can visit and pray with you.
In Liberty, we recognize the importance of family in the Christian community. Liberty church endeavors to facilitate and support families and youths in their path of faith and in their relationship with God and with each other. We hope Liberty will be able to aid you and your family in your walk of faith, and together we can be a strong influence in our local communities, as the light and the salt of the Earth.
The time of fellowship is greatly promoted in Liberty. We believe that the time of service, Bible study, and prayer allows us to receive the love of God. We believe this love should then be shared with one another. Jesus explains to us, the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, body and soul, and secondly to love our neighbors as ourselves. We promote that fellowship is a time where we can fulfill this commandment beautifully with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
